Ever since GNC's inception in 1971, hundreds of students rushed to this institution eager to learn Tamil language and literature. Taking advantage of the eagerness and earnestness of the students our teachers had been using various methods to infuse more enthusiasm among the students under the leadership of the following heads.

The following methods are adopted by various teachers in an atmosphere of freedom to assess student's performance.

• Class room lectures with chalk talk method
• Questions and answers method
• Reading exercises
• Assignments
• Periodical tests of one hour and three hours duration.
• Composition , translation work books -correction, repetition and discussion in the classes with remedial instructions and enrichment ideas.
