The achievements of the department over the years are far wide. However some unique achievements can be highlighted as follows:

• The faculties of mathematics under the guidance of Prof T.V.Ramana developed a package for UGC pay fixation and claiming the arrears for teachers in a record type.
• Prof V. Narasimhan along with his colleagues has developed a computer package for office administration dealing with student's attendance, university examination and the staff salary.  This package is currently used for administration.
• Apart from the departmental achievements some faculty members are unique in the individual achievements. For instance Prof T.V.Ramana the former Principal and Head of the Departments of Mathematics under took a world tour in scooter to spread the message of universal brotherhood.  He was Andhra Pradesh Ranjit Player, Cricket Coach, Cricket commentator and Ranji Empire for the Guru Nanak College Cricket pitch, modern library, and the college canteen are the results of his vision.  The Government of Andhra Pradesh recognises his teaching ability and appointed him a co-author for writing a book Modern Algebra in "Telugu".
• Prof. V. Narasimhan along with his regular academic work is shouldering the responsibilities of Professor-in-charge of Evening College, Estate Officer and Coordinator of IGNOU.
